Keyboard & Mouse setup for PC gaming with a TV?

July 1, 2008

A few weeks ago, I set up a gaming PC for my kids, so they don’t wreck my 360 when playing LEGO Indiana Jones and the upcoming LEGO Batman.  I have it hooked up to a 36″ LCD TV in one of our living rooms.  I’m using Pinnacle Gaming Profiler to allow a 360 gamepad to control windows, launch programs, and control emulators.  There’s just one problem though – I want to play some of my games on it now and then, and they just are not the same when using a gamepad.

Do any of you guys do any “couch” PC gaming?  If so, how do you set up your mouse and keyboard?

Podcast Episode 9: In The News

February 8, 2008

Martin and I discuss recent news relevant to tactical gaming. And ninjas.
Take into account that we recorded this over a week ago and were delayed in releasing because we were both sick, so some of the news might sound a touch dated.

We had some technical issues with the recording, where our voices would skip ahead for no apparent reason, so mind the gaps!
Special thanks to both Scott Johnson, who single-handedly brought us over 100 new active listeners, and to Blackguard Spork for his audio review of Rise of Liberty. Keep the content coming, guys!

Well, I’m not feeling better enough to actually think about what I’m writing, or – God forbid – research any recent tactical gaming news, so here’s a bunch of links:

Thank you, and good night.

Episode 8: Mods Part 2 – The Golden Age

January 29, 2008

This week we are joined by good friend and internet media all-star, Scott Johnson, of ExtraLife Radio and The Instance fame, for part two of our modding themed cast in which we talk about the Counter Strike-inspired “golden age” of tactical modding. Scott coins the phrase “Broke the donkey in half”, and Martin talks on floppy boobs.

Big thanks to Scott, Blackguard Spork, and all the rest of the folks who gave us positive reviews at our iTunes page. We’ll mention you guys by name in next week’s show.

Also, no puke to report on this week.
