Well, I’m not feeling better enough to actually think about what I’m writing, or – God forbid – research any recent tactical gaming news, so here’s a bunch of links:
- Empire Deluxe reborn for handhelds & PC – I’m pretty excited about this one. It was probably the most influential precursor to Sid Meier’s Civilization games, and a great game all around.
- Risk gets a reboot with Risk: Black Ops – We might get this one and do a review on it.
- Combat Mission: Shock Force gets patched – Combat Mission games are HARD, but purists seem to love them.
- Battlefield Heroes details aplenty – I’m going on the record as saying there was a meeting at EA in which the following statement was made: “Lets make Battlefield just like TF2, but with vehicles”. Ripoff? Yes. Still sounds awesome? Yes.
- Conflict: Denied Ops demo is out on XBLA – Anyone play this yet? Let us know what you think!
- New Valve content for TF2 PC coming this month – Makes me wish PC gaming could be done from the comfort of my couch…
- World In Conflict patch is coming – Maybe I’ll actually get the chance to play more than just the intro to this game soon…
- Frontlines cinematic trailer out – Apparently the devs listened to complaints about the demo and made alot of fixes. Here’s hoping…
- New official IW (and maybe user-created) maps coming to CoD4 on the consoles – yeah, I already mentioned it…
Thank you, and good night.
